Restricted products
Sellers may only list goods that are legal in Egypt and allowed on this marketplace. This draft guide is not a complete list of the law. When in doubt, do not list the item — ask us first.
1. Always prohibited
Do not list anything illegal or unsafe: weapons and explosives, illicit drugs, stolen goods, counterfeits, recalled products, or items that make false health or safety claims.
2. Identity and IP
Do not list goods that copy another brand’s name, logo, packaging or photos without a right to do so. See the intellectual-property page for how rights holders can report a listing.
3. Fashion and personal care
Intimate apparel must be new and accurately described. Cosmetics and skin-care must be labelled for sale in Egypt and must not be expired. We may ask for invoices or certificates.
4. Grocery
Food must be fit for sale, within date, and labelled in Arabic as Egyptian rules require. Do not list alcohol, tobacco, or unlicensed supplements. Live animals are not allowed.
5. Industry
Chemicals, fuels, pressure equipment and similar goods need the licences the law requires. Hazardous items without paperwork will be removed. You remain responsible for transport and labelling.
6. What we may do
We may refuse, hide or delete a listing and pause payouts or the account if we believe a product is restricted or the information is false. Repeat breaches can close the seller account.
7. Ask before you list
If a product sits near a restricted category, write to the marketplace team in Ismailia with the specification before you publish. “I did not know” is not a defence after a customer is harmed.
